Our Vision for Worship

There are many ways Christians express their love of God. Music is just one expression of worship. We believe true worship is more than the songs we sing on Sunday morning. It's a lifestyle that reflects obedience to the Lord, service to His will, and a commitment to loving Him and loving others. We believe that authentic worship comes from the overflow of being in God's presence in our own lives.

At Way Table Worship, we believe in creating an atmosphere that fosters true and authentic worship. It's a place where our agendas disappear in the revelation of the Holy Spirit's agenda! Even in our rehearsal times, we endeavor to 'practice in the presence' which makes every rehearsal a time of worship!

What About Lights & Haze?

Where does production value fit in worship?

We love lighting and haze! We love cool gear! However, these tools are secondary to the primary objective of helping people to connect with God. Every tool has its proper place.

Have you ever awakened early in the morning and looked out your window to see the sunrise while the dew was fresh? Ever see the sun's rays shining through a landscape filled with trees and think to yourself, "Man, God is such an awesome God to allows us to see such beauty?" The sun's light passing through the dewy mist is what creates those rays! Haze acts like the dewy mist that allows us to see the radiant light of His creation! Production lighting can also be used to bring focus to certain parts of the stage and and in some cases, eliminate distractions.

Of course, everything has it's proper place. Seeing God's beautiful rays of light from His creation is not enough to propagate true and authentic worship (unless, of course, it's the light emanating directly from Him). If our hearts aren't in the right place, we could even be distracted by it. Therefore, we endeavor to be prayerfully thoughtful in how we use all of the tools  of our craft at our disposal.

Big Production or Small Acoustic Set?

What is more powerful, large corporate gatherings or small intimate settings?

There is a very palpable sense of God's presence when a large group come together to worship corporately. However, we believe that the impact of God's presences is just as powerful in small intimate settings. Sometimes, it can be even more powerful. At Way Table Worship, we value the narrative over the numbers!

Indeed, God may have used Billy Graham to reach millions upon millions of people, but his ministry may have never happened had it not been for the small, intimate group meetings he attended during his formative years. Charles Spurgeon, the famed "Prince of Preachers," was saved in a small congregation during a snowstorm when the scheduled preacher was replaced by a lay preacher. The point? God moves in incredible ways whether in small settings or in large ones.
